Roller Drum for test tubes & centrifuge tubes
New Brunswick Scientific Roller Drums are precision instruments for growing mini preps, as well as tissue and bacterial cultures by the roller tube method. Removable accessory drums accommodate 16 mm, 18 mm, or 25 mm test tubes as well as 50 mL centrifuge tubes. The TC-7 and TC-8 Roller Drums are quiet in operation and ruggedly built to provide many years of continuous service, even under incubated temperatures. A powerful ball-bearing drive imparts uniform rotary motion to all tubes, maintaining constant speed with heavy workloads. Two models are offered with variable speed ranging from 6 to 56 rpm in the TC-7 and from 0.20 to 3.5 rpm in the TC-8.
Four Interchangeable Drums
Four, 14" (36 cm) diameter drums accommodate various sized test tubes and centrifuge tubes. The drums are interchangeable, easily removed, and can be used as carrying trays or storage racks.

Adjustment of an elevating screw at the front of the unit positions the drum at the desired tilt-angle. The base and motor housing have a durable finish. Because of precision crafting and fabrication, friction and undue stress is minimized at the points of critical wear. The lightweight drums are fabricated of 1/16" (1.6 mm) thick aluminum plate. Hardened by a special anodizing process, they resist corrosion and abrasion. A tough vinyl coating protects the rear plate against the wear of rolling tubes.
